We have had a busy few weeks as we prepped for our 6th Annual Holiday Toy Drive and held two different toy drive events! Each of our events provided families with the opportunity to browse our selection of gifts with one of our volunteer elves and pick out items specifically for their kids.

On December 15, we held our first toy pick-up event. This was specifically for families that filled out our request form when we launched in early November. We filled 220 requests for help and were able to provide 3 items per kid. That means we gave out a total of 660 toys on our first day!

We held our second event on December 22 and opened this up to the general public. We did this because we had extra toys and wanted to make sure we spread as much holiday cheer as possible. On this day, we filled 370 requests for help and gave out 740 toys!

During our 2 toy drive events, we provided 1,400 toys to kids in need in our community! We also distributed over 500 new books as families were able to pick out a book for each of their kids. We are beyond thrilled and grateful to be able to continue our tradition of providing help to families in our community!

We would like to thank everyone who made this possible! To our volunteers who spent countless hours buying, unpacking, and sorting toys, guiding families through Reese’s House to shop for their children, and sacrificing your own time to help others, thank you! To our donors who sponsored families, made monetary donations to help us purchase toys, and dropped off toys at our donation sites, thank you! To our partners at Novacare Rehabilitation, Colonial Florist & Gifts, and Wildflower Vegan Cafe who allowed us to use their space as a drop-off location for toys, thank you so much! Finally, to all the families that trust us to help meet your needs, we thank you for allowing us to help in your time of need.

We are a community-focused nonprofit and will continue to serve our community in any capacity we can. We have a lot of exciting things coming in 2025, so stay tuned and keep an eye out for much more!

Happy Holidays!
