We know it has been a bit since our last update, but that’s because we have been hard at work on Reese’s House! If you’ve been following our journey, you know we lost our zoning to operate Reese’s House as a community center last summer. We were devastated when that happened, but we knew that the ruling was not going to end our pursuit of serving our community.
After months of conversations and planning, we are beyond excited to introduce you to the new iteration of Reese’s House! Instead of a community center, Reese’s House will serve our community as a cafe! We are continuing our partnership with Wildflower Vegan Cafe and will use their food for events. There will also be opportunities to purchase food and attend monthly fundraising dinners and more. Hours and services will be limited for now as we ramp up our operations, but we hope to be fully functional soon!
Additionally, we will partner with different organizations in our area to offer events to help build solidarity and community. We are also offering our space to our community for private events, parties, meetings, and more. If you would like to be a part of an event in our space or would like to reserve a space for your private event, please fill out the request form by clicking here.
Finally, we are not open yet but are making a few additional improvements to our space before we open our doors. We have created a separate social media presence for Reese’s House on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure you click those links and give our pages a like and follow so you don’t miss any updates!
Finally, we would like to thank our friends and family for being a vital part of our journey. Without your help and support, we wouldn’t be in this position to serve our community. We are ready to continue our work and look forward to having you continue to be a part of our story!
